First Aid Kit - Emmylou (Live on KRCW)

annicka:

woah. i’d heard the ladies of First Aid Kit live via Daytrotter a few years ago, but even so, hearing their voices in this context is like being hit by a steamroller. i don’t understand how it’s possible for a human being’s voice to be this beautiful. i want to write a sonnet/paint a canvas/create a gif in homage to this voice.

thanks ben for the link. the whole set is available here for free

Oh the bitter winds are coming in
And I’m already missing the summer
Stockholm’s cold but I’ve been told
I was born to endure this kind of weather
When it’s you I find like a ghost in my mind
I am defeated and I gladly wear the crown

Ugh they are so good their harmonizing is perfectttt

Bruce Springsteen & The E-Street Band - Racing in the Street

Probably the most beautiful song ever written about street racing.

I want to thank you for your thoughts
though they weren’t mine to read
p.s. — keep an eye on me

who turned you in?
who let you down?
who sold you out?
the green police or the Dutch N.S.B.?
oh, honey why?
you was a beautiful child
a beautiful child
a beautiful child.

Ryan Adams, “Dear Anne” (live, 23/04/01)

this song is about me

Just wrote this an hour ago and it’s better than 99% of the stuff on the radio, nbd.
