This is sad. Reading is great and I love it, but what’s more important than exploring and learning about the world in which we live?
It seems that tourism/tourist has become a dirty word. Especially in big cities such as New York City, where natives see interested outsiders as obnoxious mosquitoes, somehow sucking the life out of their precious city.
Why, because they walk a little slower and like to take in their surroundings? Get over yourselves. The world is an amazing place and everyone should be so fortunate to be able to see more than the bubble they spend most of their days in.
