Cinemetrics is the amazing bachelor graduation project by Frederic Brodbeck.
The project is about measuring and visualizing movie data, in order to reveal the characteristics of films and to create a visual “fingerprint” for them. Information such as the editing structure, color, speech or motion are extracted, analyzed and transformed into graphic representations so that movies can be seen as a whole and easily interpreted or compared side by side.
This is quite the bachelor project!!
He’s selling posters here, and I really want the Top Gun one, but is it worth the dough?

I really hope this is an ad because if someone paid for all these it would cost at least a thousand dollars. I saw these at a small shop in Duluth and I kinda fell in love.
Liyuan Library in Huairou, China by Li Xiaodong Architects
This is the most beautiful library in the world!
Color Scheme Designer
Endless fun if you like to stare at color.
This is so cool. You can even see what colors look like to colorblind people!
“The whole park is a sculpture”, is what artist / product designer / sculptor Isamu Noguchi said about Moerenuma Park in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan. Moerenuma Park opened last July, 18 years after Isamu visited Sapporo for the first time to design this 189-hectare park.
This is one of the coolest parks ever. It’s huge, and it’s all designed by him. The google satellite view looks like a painting—all these interesting lines, patterns, and spaces all in one giant recreational place that people can run around in. I just love it and would really like to see it. (lots more photos / via pingmag)
Beyond Infinity, an optical theater of Eastern and Western philosophies created by Serge Salat.
No idea what I’m looking at, but isn’t it cool!?

St.Louis Based Moosylvania put together a series of posters to benefit relief efforts in the tornado-stricken city of Joplin, Mo. Each poster is signed by the artist and screen printed by hand to order. All proceeds will be donated to the Southwest Missouri chapter of United Way to aid in the economic reconstruction.
People are awesome.
I really love this standout design for Kraken spiced rum by Stranger & Stranger
